Name Change Announcement
A majority of the Board of Directors approved the name change to the
Madonna Interfaith Community
“Awakening Spirituality through Service and Education.”
That is the umbrella for our committees which currently consist of The “Madonna Ministry Church without Walls” and “Step-Up, the service project of the Madonna Interfaith Community.”
Redesigning our organization this way will provide a framework for growth, and new opportunities for expansion while keeping the familiar and revered ideals of the “Madonna Ministry.” At the same time, we’ve created a framework for demonstrating the many facets of our community and explaining the amazing things that we do like mentorship, teaching, and service.
The Madonna Ministry will never change its spiritual focus while I am president. A chairperson will lead our Madonna Ministry spiritual community and take on administrative duties associated with its function–such as, maintaining contact with Bishop candidates, ministers, priests and mentoring the existing bishops (I see this taking more than one person—maybe minister and priest co-chairs).
Likewise, the focus of the Step Up committee will not change—however, we will increase our funding by writing grants. Setting up these committees with leaders acting as chairpersons, will provide opportunities for service to our community, generate interest in the creation of the community, and free the Board to focus on the business-end of the organization and the process of providing support to our ordained.
Additionally, for years we have been kicking around adding education and publishing sections. I am open to suggestions on how we can implement these into our organization. We are not limited to just these sections; we can add others as needed—again, as always, your input is vital.
I will be working with the Board to increase involvement with our community; between us, we have over 100 years of service to this ministry and the Mother. I encourage all of you to contact us with a service or project to benefit the community; we’ll support you as needed. Additionally, I encourage all of you to use and help develop our website into a useful tool. If you have familiarity with word press– please contact me!!! www.madonnaministry.net.
In short, not much has changed; what I’m hoping will change is your increased involvement within the community, the community’s increased support to your ministry, and our expanded positive impact on the world. Please contact me with your thoughts.
With Love and Respect,

Thank you for your generous donation,
Thanks to a donation from the Madonna Ministry International thru the STEP UP program, some homeless persons were able to get a gift-restricted gift certificate for food only (cold or Hot) at any Vons for $12 to $15 dollars each.
Bishop Mei Lan Willis, Bishop Phyllis Sparks, and Bishop Manny Edgar-Beltran participated in the 11th annual homeless memorial service in which the names of 53 people who have died homeless in the last year in Ventura County were read out loud and a bell was rung as each name was read. Ages ranged from 2 hours to 84 years old.
After the service we walked through downtown Ventura in silence, carrying signs telling our city officials that homeless people are not invisible people, that they deserve love, compassion and helping hands.
Once the word was out that we were giving out food vouchers, men and women were asking for the vouchers. Our donations were combined with other donors to make small gift bags with toiletries, socks and the food vouchers. There was some confusion as some people thought we here the sisters of Mary. But soon it was made clear that it was the Madonna Ministry International at work. A couple of journalists asked for info as they are planning to write articles about today’s event.
Thanks to the generosity of the members of the Madonna Ministry International, your donations to STEP-UP and the raffle tickets purchased at the conference, this act of LOVE, COMPASSION, and DIGNITY was able to be carried out. Thank you all for your generosity.
In HER LOVE and Guidance.

Catanzaro’s pins promote world peace
Posted on Sept 21, 2016
The Fountain Hills Times
By Barb Charzuk
Now more than ever, the “We Are All One Family” button campaign created by Shirley Catanzaro, is relevant to bringing about world peace.
In the last 15 years since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, Catanzaro says individuals question their existence, survival and future.
Global terrorism has intensified. Political incivility prevails in the Presidential campaign. Racial division pits blacks against whites; violence against police and civilians has dramatically escalated.
“We were brought together on that day, human to human, rather than color, creed or religion. We were a global family, praying and hurting together.” she says.
Catanzaro believes, and preaches, that fear causes separation and “an eye for an eye” is not the answer to dispelling anxiety and apprehension.
“Our oneness was shattered temporarily, however fear cannot exist if love prevails,” writes Catanzaro. “For my circle of life I choose love, for to love is to have no expectations of others, to love is to contribute, to be responsible, and have respect for self and others.”
Although started as a reaction to Sept. 11, 2001, Catanzaro continues to spread the sacredness of humanity through her buttons by enlisting friends and strangers who hear about her project. She estimates she has sold or given away about 6,500 pins to people who hear an inspirational message of peace and oneness.
“They have taken on a life of their own,” said Catanzaro.
On the read of the button, she attaches a message: “It takes only one moment to share peace with our fellow beings.”
Immediately after the Sept. 11 attacks, she delivered buttons to St. Paul’s Church that remained standing near Ground Zero in lower Manhattan.
She handed out the buttons to firemen, police officers and sightseers. The buttons were included in the Pentagon historic archives about the day, Library of Congress, and taken to numerous foreign countries, including Tanzania, Uganda and Jerusalem.
“In the midst of the chaos of that day (Sept. 11), we forgot race, color and creed,” writes Catanzaro in her blog.
“Our human family was hurting and all that was important, all that mattered was to help them. It was our brothers, sisters, parents, children, friends and associates creating a human chain of a helping hand.
“In reverential humbleness, I realized that it only takes one through followed through to completion to truly make change. The pins aren’t about me, Shirley; they are an entity on their own.
“They are about holding peace, love and compassion for all the people of the world, in whatever they face, in their pain, loss, confusion and fear. It is saying to a sister or brother: We Care.”
Catanzaro’s journey toward world peace started several decades ago when she struggled as a single mother of six children.
She became a minister, hypo-therapist, energy practitioner, spiritual counselor, teacher and lecturer. At one time, she broadcasted a local radio program, “Imagination.”
She refers to herself on her website (delphian.7gen.com/ShirleyCatanzaro.htm) as a “global citizen, in service to Creator, Great Spirit, God and Humanity as a whole.”
“I will always be a student of life, learning to share my experiences, learning to bask in the beauty of each individual soul, and always, and in all ways being present to and in the moment, sharing oneness and love,” expressed Catanzaro.
This is the time of the year when making a stance will guide us into the times to come.
Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Where are we going?
What can we do?
I will leave it up to each of us to formulate an answer.
The story of the Three Magi offered me a helpful assist.
Several kind ladies invited me to play the personage
of Santa for third graders at a local Boys and Girls Club.
The upshot is that I became a better human on the spot.
There is really nothing more attractive than to be surrounded by 25 youngsters
who only know of being themselves by being caught up
in the moment of anticipation to see Santa’s haul of presents.
These children are masters in the art of receiving,
in being delighted,
of knowing that the presents will be there for them.
Their gleeful joy infused my breathing.
The essence of being alive was palpable.
The curiosity was contagious.
Their playfulness with their toys
presented me with a hope for the future
as long as I am aware that with each breath I am alive
and therefore intricately connected with Life.
Life, that was very visible in a constant moving tableau
that delightfully unfolded in a most natural and simple manner.
To me, then, the key to living a life of delight is observable in being ourselves
in any instant with what living Life presents us
and to do so with a tactile sense of acceptance and gratitude.
These eight/nine year olds might be at times loud and boisterous,
but showed in spates the willingness to help each other
when the need arose without the telltale proclivity of I, Me, Myself, and Mine.
This group of children joyfully play the part of shaping a future
we can live as an adventure of showing the world
that being yourself is a state of being in delight.
The Seven Fruits of the Bible bear no opposition
and are freely and readily experienced
by anyone willing to take the plunge in the acceptance
of what is now and with delight.
The plunge, to a degree, entails owning up to a mindset of knowing who we are.
Not withstanding the anticipation of knowing we have to start with what we have.
In being grateful for life and for what life offers us
in the full experience of our own choice making
we can find out with delight what works for us.
Our work, then, is to cherish and to cultivate a garden,
that will satisfy our desires and needs.
Life brings about a plethora of change.
The soil of our consciousness we till,
until it is the right time to seed.
We cultivate to our heart’s content,
until the harvest bears the image and likeness
of what brings delight with the quality of the results.
To me, these children lived the moments right on cue
without deliberate thought but with a joyful anticipation.
We repeat and repeal and recognize and reorganize,
until delight and the accompanying joy are pervasive
in the energy we present to the world.
It is this energy that is the joyful noise unto the Lord.
Just like the newborn cries heard on Christmas Day
are music to the ears of those who dwell in the heavenly realm.
To spend time with young people bursting with life
is a privilege and a honor;
give it a try and plan for unforeseen surprises.
To me, the experience encapsulated and summarized,
that love is the process of emulating Source,
while living life, in all phases, with squeals of delight.
Be blessed. Teddy.
Letting Our Stars Shine – Recap of the MMI 2016 Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ
and What’s Next?
By Bishop Jenny Dickason
It was both an honor and a privilege to host our 2016 annual conference in Phoenix this year! I am especially grateful for the team of people who helped me put it together. My husband, Randy went above and beyond the call of duty in every way, helping us with airport pickups, water, tea, food, playing his Native American flute and dozens of other things. Larry Rasnake helped with the planning process and worked with the caterer to provide us with two very tasty dinners. Shirley Catanzaro and Cynthia Cebuhar helped with the planning process, the registration table and were both program presenters. Marie Wilkes helped with the planning process and she and Franz Zoder got the decorations up in the meeting room. Other Planning Committee members were Mo Hainer, and Margaret Hedden, both of whom were also program presenters. Rev. Tina Louise. who was on the committee was unable to attend at the last minute, so her duties as host of the auction and raffle were assumed by Rev. Manny Edgar-Beltran, who did an excellent job of making some money for the Ministry. I appreciate everything that all of you did to ensure that everyone was comfortable and well cared-for! As always, there were many others who lent a hand behind the scenes and we thank them as well! Sandy Kennedy helped as our food hostess and Teresa Marie assisted Sandy, gave massages and wound up getting ordained on Sunday!
We got to see some amazing costumes as people came to the “Come As Were Party” and chose to dress as a character from their favorite past life! The talent show was a lot of fun, too, and the program presentations were thought provoking, fun, spirit filled and educational.
All in all, it seemed that most people had a positive experience. Even though we did not hand out a formal evaluation, I am very interested in your feedback. If you are interested in providing feedback, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what you thought about:
- The venue (Rooms, amenities, meeting room, cost for the value)
- The Program (Did you like the theme, the timing, free time, cost)
- The Presenters (Did the information presented prove helpful to you?)
- The Schedule (Were things well spaced, was there enough free time?)
- Anything else that you would like to share that I haven’t included on this list.
Providing this information will be helpful going forward as next year’s planning committee can use the information to improve the next conference!
Speaking of our next conference, who will step forward to host next year? It would be wonderful if someone on the east coast wants to host next year in keeping with the idea that our conferences should alternate coasts giving more of our people the opportunity to attend! I will be happy to assist the next planning committee by phone and email if you want. Don’t wait too long! It takes months to really get all the details ironed out, so the planning process should begin as soon as possible!
Thanks again to all the people who helped and attended! You are all shining Stars!!
Ordinations held at the Annual Conference in Phoenix,
Teresa Marie Holland
My name is Charmian Redwood I live in Bradenton Florida on the Gulf Coast
I am a bishop in the ministry. I had a Near Death Experience 36 years ago where I went into the golden light, experienced myself as Divine Essence and met Jesus. I realized that the Light is the real world and everything I was doing ” down here’ was just a story that I am playing out. When I came back to my body there was no “me” anymore so I just offered my life to serve the Divine Plan which is unfolding on this planet and to go wherever I was needed.
I had an encounter with Mother Mary at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Norfolk, Uk in 1986. I was in a great deal of distress from a broken relationship and as I was lying on the stone floor of the Holy House in complete despair, she came and stood beside me. She laid a piece of blue silk cloth over me and I was filled with a deep sense of peace which I didn’t think I would ever feel again.
So I offered myself to her service and she has guided me ever since to become a healer and a spiritual teacher. I channel her and I teach a class in my home and online which helps lightworkers to remember the truth of who we are, to begin using again the skills we have learned so many times in all of the Great Temples of Light from Lemuria and Atlantis through to christian times.
I also asked for a way to take people to experience themselves Divine Essence which I did through my NDE but offer to others through my work as a hypnotherapist for the Soul. I feel so blessed to feel her presence with me always as I walk my path sharing her Presence with all. I have lived in so many places always guided where I am needed. I have worked with Hospice many times assisting people to go home in peace as I now have no fear of death. I also assist babies to come into the world as a doula.
I am writing a book about Mother Mary taken from past life regression with many people including myself and I feel so honored to be a part of the family of the Christ. In the memories which those who walked with her share there is such a feeling of the grace and gentleness of her Presence, her kindness which was an example to us all.
I lived in Glastonbury Uk for many years which is the home of Avalon and the Holy Grail. I learned there that the grail energy is about becoming empty of self so that is how I do all of my work as a channel and a healer. I empty myself and wait for what wants to be spoken, this is what I teach others to do in my classes and sessions. I was asked in 1995 to move to USA to bring the grail codes from Avalon because America needs them so here I am.
I feel blessed to be a part of this ministry of such devoted souls.
I would like to connect with more ministers in my vicinity and will start to host gatherings locally next spring for the people I have ordained and anyone else who wishes to participate.
