"COMMUNION" by Bishop Shirley Catanzaro

Communion: Unity, Sharing, Fellowship, Community, Relationship To be in communion is to be in unity and harmony with, it is the camaraderie between you and those you are in relationship with. To be in communion and agreement with, to use a language, which builds a rapport between you and others is one the most precious gifts we as humans have. The ability to use our words to unify, to build bridges, to span dissension, to forgive ourselves, to forgive others, to erect a foundation build on mutual respect for each other and to take the time, to make the effort to understand one another in our differences, not only in our similarities, is the pathway to peace. It is love manifested in each word spoken. When communicating with someone, when you allow the heart of you to speak, when you go to that inner place that has no agenda except to love and be loved you experience full communion.

Communication increases your knowledge, your understanding, and your awareness. Language is precious. Words are the building blocks of all happiness. Please take a moment to let the word ‘Communion’ fill your being. Breath it in, sit with it, feel it filling every nook and cranny of your being, fill your cellular memory with it, let it seep into your bone marrow, allow your heart to pump it through your being sending harmony to your community of vital organs and bring clarity to your mind’s eye as it lifts the veil of separateness and joins you as one.

Our planet is starving for the harmony that comes from mutual and loving acts of kindness to its beings. Our children rely upon us to create a legacy of oneness, built upon common ground, built upon the tenets of forgiveness, the compassion that fosters peace and brings in synergy with one another and brings peace to our planet, our home.

If there is one being out there that you need to be in communication with, to right a perceived wrong done by either of you, give them a call, if you know of a lonely person who just needs a kind word share some time with them, if you need a kind word look in the mirror and commune with you. We are all that we have and each precious moment we spend in regret, guilt, shame, or anger separates us, closes our hearts and shortens our time. We are in relation to all that is, the elements, the plant, animal, mineral and human kingdoms comprise our world and when we allow our divinity to open our hearts and minds, we manifest Creators dream for us.

My prayer and hope is that the words written here daily create a community within and without for all of us.
